This is a helper application for Spotty, the next generation Spotify implementation for Squeezebox, compiled for FreeBSD
When Spotify ended support for the official Spotify plug-in for Squeezebox in june 2017, Michael Herger (www.herger.net) wrote an excellent replacement for it, called 'Spotty'.
While the Spotty plug-in itself runs fine on FreeBSD, the helper application, called 'spotty' (lowercase) does not. It is written in Rust (https://www.rust-lang.org/en-US/) and needs to be compiled for FreeBSD.
That's what this plug-in is: The spotty helper application compiled for FreeBSD 11.
To make use of it, you will need to install the 'Spotty' plug-in also!
