When Spotify ended support for the official Spotify plugin for Squeezebox in June 2017, Michael Herger wrote an excellent replacement for it, called 'Spotty'.
While the Spotty plugin itself runs fine on FreeBSD, the helper application, called 'spotty' (lowercase) does not. It is written in Rust and needs to be compiled for FreeBSD.
That's what this plugin is: The spotty helper application compiled for FreeBSD 13. It is currently tested on TrueNAS Core 13.0, running in a jail. A few older versions are also available.
To make use of it, you will need to install the 'Spotty' plugin also!
